  • Birthday Sale!

Happy Friday! I hope everyone is enjoying the last weekends of summer and getting all ready for the cozy season of chunky knitwear and of course chunky knitwear knitting! I am heading to our cabin in the UP of Michigan for a little bit! I am so excited for some family time, beach life, sauna nights, and some visiting of my favorite boutiques and coffee shops. And also nearly zero cell service. It’s such a good break!

My birthday is next week and my annual birthday sale begins now! Enjoy 25% off all purchases on my site (shop link in the menu above) through the 23rd! Stock up on your cozy knitwear patterns to get ready for those fall vibes. Think pumpkin coffees and a pastry whilst knitting a new sweater. Maybe a fall scented candle sitting nearby. Ugh it sounds amazing.

I also have a new toddler pattern launching this weekend! It’s my bestselling lost road trip cardi, but for your littles! It’s oversized, it’s got the cute little distressed style (which you can omit if you choose!) and perfect for all fall and winter long. You’re gonna love it.

Enjoy! And thank you all for your support of my patterns! It means the world to me seeing all the lovely messages and photos.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  • The Mckenzie cardigan

    The Mckenzie cardigan

Just in time for the beautiful days of summer, the McKenzie cardigan! I knit this piece with wool and the gangs shiny happy cotton, but you can use any other cottons as long as they’re similar weight.

I’m loving the little front clasp cardigans I’ve been seeing lately, so I added that to this design! It’s not vital to the piece if you don’t want to try your hand at sewing hook and eyes on, but it’s easy to do! Takes only a few moments.

The sleeves on the McKenzie cardigan are nice and roomy with a little bit of ribbing at the cuffs, perfect size to stay without falling past your hands. It makes for an easy wear! Very taking care of kids, running errands friendly.

If you’re a new or beginner knitter, you shouldn’t have a problem knitting this cardigan! It uses all your basic knitting stitches with the only extra skills being increases and decreases. No picking up stitches this time!

Get excited to wear this all summer long! Dress it up, dress it down, dress it anyway you like! I even wore it with basic black leggings and I loved it! Perfect throw on and go piece.

Shop this cardigan pattern by clicking the shop link in the menu above! I can’t wait to see yours!

  • My 5 favorite knitwear pieces for summer

My 5 favorite knitwear pieces for summer

With summer pretty much in full swing, I thought I’d share my fav summer go to knitwear pieces! These are the ones that get the most use and are so perfect for all the summer things. Morning coffee dates, farmers market shopping, garage saling, evenings out on the porch, and travels! That’s my favorite time to wears knits. A little something special for a special trip! The feeling of sipping that morning vacation coffee in a cute cozy sweater you made yourself is an experience we all need.

    1. The Inez summer sweater. This one is a fan favorite! So many people have messaged me to say that they get so many compliments wearing their Inez sweater! It’s easy, breezy, and just has the good summer vibes. Make it using your favorite cotton yarn in some gorgeous colors and you’ll be accepting the compliments in no time!

    2. The Bring Me Coffee cardi. Super chill, airy, and cozy. This is the ultimate for enjoying that summer coffee. Slip it on with a tank and shorts, and you’re ready for all the coffee feels.

    3. The Mustang tank. The ties on the shoulders, the drapey silhouette, this one deserves to be made in many different shades! It’s your basic tank with a pretty and feminine twist. I’m already starting another in red!

    4. The Summer Daisy Sweater. Big and oversized with lots of fun stitches, colors, and the little “flower” details on the sleeves, make this a perfect throw on and go piece! Wear it over your swimsuit after a long day of swimming while you chill around the fire.

    5. The Freya Summer Sweater. Another top with tie details. Can you tell I like them?! I love how easy and fun they are. This top features an open shoulder, perfect for those cooler times of day.
