I’ve been waiting on some yarn to finish my latest design and it’s been the biggest disaster! At this point, my post office delivered it somewhere and they don’t know where and whoever got it decided to keep it. I was out of town for a week and a half on a trip to the UP of Michigan and a few days in Minnesota and returned home and my yarn has still not shown up.

So anyway, while I was waiting for this yarn to make its appearance, my daughter hauled up a tote of yarn that I had in the storage. All “the tape” from We Are Knitters. So I was like well I might as well use some of this. I did a little bit of a brainstorming sesh and came up with the cute little idea of a crossbody bag. Then as I was about to start on it, I saw my needles and was like hoooold up.

I have had so many needles break on roadtrips. It’s one of thee most frustrating things and also an expensive problem. They’ve been stepped on by kids or unknowingly had a heavier bag placed on top of them and they snap. So I figured since it would take quick, might as well try make a case for them.

And it turned out perfect. This yarn knits up quite sturdy so while they might still break if jumped on, they’re a lot more protected. It was a good use of yarn that I have an absolute ton of!

It holds quite a few sets too! I tested it with a set of 15mm, 10mm, and 8mm. All 3 fit. Game changer for my knitting needles while traveling.
