    peachy sunsets tee design

    Happy weekend to you all!

After a bit of trial and error, I have the final design to show you! I was really debating between adding a graphic on the front or sequins. However, those both just seemed too tedious and time consuming for this point in the summer.

I wanted the neckline to have something extra though, so I decided to add another round of ribbing to the neckline, making it a different color and a little longer.

I really love the way it looks. It was easy enough to do, and in my opinion, gave it that extra edge I was looking for, figuratively and literally.

The peachy sunsets tee is the perfect heading into fall knit wardrobe essential. Its knit holding two strands of We Are Knitters the cotton together at once, giving it a heavier drape and warmth. But still not too warm! I think it would also be super adorable layered over a long sleeve top.

The colors I used for this were Yarnicorn and salmon pink for the entire body and first neckline. The second neckline is yarnicorn and aquamarine, which is such a gorgeous blue!

This pattern is suitable for all levels of knitters! It uses basic stitches and techniques, perfect sized knitting needles (8mm which is a US 11), and knits up fairly quickly. If I had unlimited knitting time, I have a few other colors I’d love to make it in!

  • The Love Big Hooded Sweater Design

The Love Big Hooded Sweater Design

Say hello to the love big hooded sweater! This big, warm, valentines inspired hoodie is a hybrid of my winter blues pullover and the max hooded cardigan. It’s not too long in length, but not short either. It hits at a level that’s perfect for easy wearability!

I wanted to do something different for detail on this one and went with a mesh stitch to create a heart on the front. It actually took me two tries to get it right, I was having the hardest time trying to do the maths on this! I was so excited when I got it! I am not a math person.

Per most of my chunky knit designs, this sweater is an easy and quickish knit. I used 15mm needles for the ribbing, then my lovely 25mm needles for the remainder of it. You’ll have a new sweater in just a few days, or hours if you’re ambitious!

I made little hearts at the end of each sleeve using the duplicate stitch method. Super easy and quick. If you’ve never worked duplicate stitch, this will be the perfect chance to try it out as it’s just a small detail.

Skill level for this design is easy or beginner. You’ll need to know how to do the longtail cast on, twisted ribbing, stockinette stitch, picking up stitches, increase stitch, and seaming. I promise you’ll have no problem doing it!

  • Toddler Ice Princess Pullover Sweater

    Toddler Ice Princess Pullover Sweater

Winter arrived a bit early for us. We crazily received a foot of snow the week before Halloween! I can’t remember the last time we had that much snow this early in the year. I’ve got mixed feelings about that tbh. But, I know the time is going to fly by fast and I love the whole Christmas season, so I think I’ll get through!

The winter season brings the best season for knitwear. And toddlers needn’t be left out! My little girls love their knits and it’s so fun to design pieces that are fairly quick to be on and off the needles.

The ice Princess sweater is suitable for beginner knitters and requires just the basic knitting skills, as well as picking up stitches.

I used We Are Knitters petite wool held together with the We Are Knitters bling bling yarn, which is a soft thin wool. It adds a much softer feel than the petite wool alone.

This piece requires three different sized needles. The 6.5mm, 8mm, and 12mm. You can use circular in place of the straights if you knit with them as if they are straights. You could also get away with not using the 6.5 if you don’t happen to have them.

The ice Princess pullover is also easily customizable for you to create in a variety of sizes. My toddler wears a 2t and that’s what the original size is for. I added a few notes to the pattern for a size up or size down. It’s as simple as just adding/deducting stitches and rows.

This sweater looks adorable paired with jeans for a classier look, or thrown on with a pair of leggings for everyday adventuring!
