    Slope style set design

Happy Thursday! Last week I released this new pattern set. Both a sweater and beanie! Loving it for it’s easy stitches and slouchy cozy feel. Beginners can do this!

You’re going to need the lovely big needles for this one, the 25mm and 15mm. You’ll start with a little bit of my classic twisted ribbing and then switch to the big needles to continue on a stockinette stitch. Even the beanie is knit with the big needles! If you have the time, this can be done very quickly. Need a new sweater and hat for the weekend?! Check.

I love this set for anything winter. It is so warm. I was sweating just doing the photos! I haven’t tested it yet, but I guarantee in mild winter temps, you def won’t need to sport a jacket over it. Wear it over a long sleeve to hit the slopes!

  • The Glimmer of Hope Christmas Sweater

The Glimmer of Hope Christmas Sweater

My Christmas sweater pattern for this season is now available for purchase! The glimmer of hope Christmas sweater. My bestie named this one with me as we always talk about how sometimes that’s all that gets you through days is the hope for the future. So no matter your life situation, always hold on to the message of hope. ❤️

Using just four skeins of the spun cloud yarn from knitcollage.com and 15mm needles, this sweater knits up so quick! Have you noticed a pattern with how I like to design? The quicker, the better. There is no point in my life where I have “extra” time for anything. It’s do all the stuff I love wherever I can fit it in! And that includes knitting. Nothing makes me happier than being able to finish a whole sweater in a weeks time.

This was such a fun piece to make. The sequin additions were a bit time consuming, but so so so worth it in my opinion! That was the first time I’ve ever tried sewing on sequins and it was fairly easy. Otherwise, you could glue them on. After seaming this all up, I couldn’t help just feeling so happy. It was everything I envisioned in a Christmas sweater. 🎄

For the sequins, I ordered one pack each of 15mm sequins in red wine and gold from sequinsusa.com. I actually had no idea what size sequins I was ordering 🙈 but they turned out working perfectly. The crazy thing is, these sequins are pure red and gold when loose. I was so excited when I finished the sweater and saw they reflect all the colors around and look so fun! You don’t have to add them to your sweater, but I feel like they’re a must have.

This is a beginner friendly sweater pattern, perfect for all levels of knitting! I hope you love it and enjoy the magic of the season ❤️ Grab yourself a coffee and Christmas treat, turn on some lovely Christmas music, and snuggle in with some relaxing knitting.

    The Millie Crop Vest Design

Happy November! The season of the chunky knits is going strong. I love it. I love having a new piece in a few days time. I love having more time for all the things I love. This time of year gets busy and chaotic, but it really is also filled with so much sparkle and magic.

Speaking of sparkle, I am really having this glittery moment. My last design, the glitter era pullover (speaks for itself) and now this one. This started out to be a very simple, basic design. After I took all of the photos for the pattern, I was looking back at them and just couldn’t find the “ah I’m so excited!” moment that I look for.

So I looked at it for a bit and figured it could do with some color across the front. That turned out to be the perfect idea. I had some extra sparkly tinsel yarn leftover from years ago, and wound that around some scrap of “the wool” from We Are Knitters, and there it was born. It got the color and the sparkle. I love it.

This is, again, an easy pattern. Beginners can do it! You’re only going to be working with some 1×1 twisted ribbing and stockinette stitch. A little bit of picking up stitches, a little bit of half duplicate stitch (I actually don’t know if that’s even a thing, but it’s literally what I did for the front) and that’s it!

Make it your own! You can leave it a solid color, work stripes into it, do stripes and the half duplicate stitch, whatever your heart desires. You got this! Have fun with it!
