  • Onward Sweater (teen sized)

    Onward Sweater (teen sized)

A teen sized sweater design. Basic. Simple. And a vintage style aesthetic.

A cozy cocoon of warmth. Perfect for the fall and winter days ahead. Choose the colors you want, make this a reflection of you. Mix and match brights for a fun and vibrant conversation piece, or subdued earthy hues for a classy statement piece.

Knit the teen in your life a sweater they’ll never forget. In these days where clothing doesn’t mean much, a hand knit sweater is an embodiment of love. Something that will hopefully be cherished and never forgotten.

To knit the onward sweater, you’re going to need 4 skeins of knit collage “spun cloud” yarn or similar super chunky weight yarn. 2 of each color. You’ll also need your size 15mm (US 17) needles and size 25mm (US 50) needles. Basic knitting skills is all that is required of you for the onward sweater.

  • The Love Big Hooded Sweater Design

The Love Big Hooded Sweater Design

Say hello to the love big hooded sweater! This big, warm, valentines inspired hoodie is a hybrid of my winter blues pullover and the max hooded cardigan. It’s not too long in length, but not short either. It hits at a level that’s perfect for easy wearability!

I wanted to do something different for detail on this one and went with a mesh stitch to create a heart on the front. It actually took me two tries to get it right, I was having the hardest time trying to do the maths on this! I was so excited when I got it! I am not a math person.

Per most of my chunky knit designs, this sweater is an easy and quickish knit. I used 15mm needles for the ribbing, then my lovely 25mm needles for the remainder of it. You’ll have a new sweater in just a few days, or hours if you’re ambitious!

I made little hearts at the end of each sleeve using the duplicate stitch method. Super easy and quick. If you’ve never worked duplicate stitch, this will be the perfect chance to try it out as it’s just a small detail.

Skill level for this design is easy or beginner. You’ll need to know how to do the longtail cast on, twisted ribbing, stockinette stitch, picking up stitches, increase stitch, and seaming. I promise you’ll have no problem doing it!

  • Jewel Of Fall Pullover Sweater

    Jewel Of Fall Pullover Sweater

One of my top favorite things this year is the jewel color tones. I am obsessed! The bluish greens, dark reds, pinks, ivory. And fall is such a good season for these colors. They create a real dramatic mood enhancing all the cozy feels. I’m hoping to incorporate a lot of them into my home decor and paint colors for this coming season!

This design features many of the jewel tone colors, plus three different textured yarns, held together to create one of the most luxurious feeling knits. This piece is knit using all yarns from We Are Knitters. I used the Bling Bling Yarn, the cotton, and the petite wool.
