    Holiday Cheer Cardigan

You guys… my favorite time of year is almost here once again. And with that comes a new holiday design. Every year I knit something that’s holiday related and this one falls right in line.

I used my big needles for this, you all know they’re my absolute favorite. I’m obsessed. It always lets the gorgeous yarn shine through. And this yarn has sparkle, so I absolutely had to. Knit collage’s spun cloud is one of my top favorite yarns for chunky knits.

I love the texture, the softness, and the colors are so vibrant and gorgeous. The ones I chose for this are Moroccan ruby, olive, cafe au lait, Sedona, and French vanilla. Like I cannot with how pretty they are.

And one of the funnest parts was adding the little pocket on the front. I loooove it. This was my first time doing a pocket on a sweater and now that I know how it works, I’m definitely going to be trying that out again in the future.

You’ll need six skeins of spun cloud or any similar super chunky weight yarn, sizes 15mm (US 19) and 25mm (US 50) knitting needles, and a darning needle for seaming and weaving the ends. This is a fairly easy pattern and something anyone can do!

    Sweet as Sprinkles Sweater

Introducing the Sweet as Sprinkles sweater design! You’re going to love the ease of wear, ease of knitting, ease of movement. This sweater has a cozy drape made by using size 12mm needles and a basic stitch. The Sweet as Sprinkles sweater will be there for you year round.

I used Sandnes Garn Poppy in the color called tutti frutti. It. is. gorgeous. There are no words for how much I enjoyed knitting with this yarn. And they have many colors of it, so that’s a plus! But I recommend the tutti frutti because it looks like a funfetti cupcake and will make you happy ❤️.

This pattern uses basic knitting skills, nothing complicated. You’ll need to know the longtail cast on method, 1×1 twisted ribbing, stockinette stitch, bind off, picking up stitches, and seaming.

For the sweater itself, you’ll need 6 skeins of sandnes garn yarn and sizes 8mm (US 11) and 12mm (US 17) straight knitting needles.

  • Sunshine Seeker Sweater

    Sunshine Seeker Sweater

Introducing my latest design, the Sunshine Seeker sweater. Every year at about this time, I go into full on waiting for spring mode. I don’t know what it is about February that says spring is almost here! The days where the sun is streaming in through the back window at 6 pm gives me this warm fuzzy feeling in my soul. Days are getting longer, sun is getting warmer, and spring vibes are in the air.

This sweater is my last chunky wool knit of the season. I added some mesh detail for those days where it’s sort of warm, but not too warm. It’s a perfect balance for the end of winter, heading into spring.

It’s knit up on size 15mm (US 19) straight knitting needles, ensuring a quick and chunky knit. The fun mix of colors and stitches makes for a project that won’t get old or boring! All you need is a few hours of time to knit this piece up. This is an easy level sweater as long as you have the basic knitting skills down.
