Design | The Inez Summer Sweater

The Inez Summer Sweater is by far my new favorite summer knit! This design is comfortable and has an open breezy stitch work, perfect for the summer season.

This sweater consists of four pieces total. You will first knit the two body panels, and then the two sleeve pieces. Because of the open stitch work, it is a fairly fast knit as well!

The yarn I chose for this sweater is Wool and the Gangs shiny happy cotton. The main color I used is ivory and the accent colors are chalk yellow, malibu, and coral crush. They remind me so much of the colorful, happy things of summer!

This pattern is a one size oversized fit! If you would like to make it bigger, I’d recommend adding one additional repeat section for a medium and two additional repeat sections for a large.

My latest design, the Candy Hearts Sweater. I started this piece back in November and had originally planned on it being a Christmas sweater. But I forgot how busy the weeks before Christmas get and didn’t get the time to even finish half of it! After things settled down a bit, I got to it.

This sweater is a pretty simple knit. I like to keep my designs easy, so even beginner knitters can attempt them. I typically avoid any shaping on the body panels because I love the look of the dropped shoulder so much! I live for slouchy, cozy tops.

I was going to do the full sweater in pink, but changed my mind when I was going through my yarn and saw some leftover speckled meriwool. It added such a perfect contrast to the sweater! I also decided to add a little to the wrists just for something extra.

In all honesty, I made a little mistake and didn’t discover it until I went to seaming the sweater. I realized one body panel was wider than the other. This turned out to my advantage! It gave such a cute roll to the neckline in front! And for how that mistake came to happen, I’d lost my original page with the cast on amount. So I’d tried counting the rows and obviously mis counted. But I LOVE how it looks!

I then finished it off with a little bit of duplicate stitch on the front to create “hearts”. And there, it turned into my perfect Valentines Day sweater!

Design | The Max Hoodie Cardigan Sweater

New favorite sweater! It’s oversized, super cozy, and literally can double as a coat! It fits comfortably over a hoodie even. This is one sweater I’ll be wearing around the house during the cold winter mornings to come.

This hoodie is knit up on big needles. Size 25mm. Using Wool and the Gangs Crazy Sexy Wool, it’s a fast and beautiful knit. I added a shiny lurex yarn, Wool and the Gangs disco down yarn. It produces a subtle little sparkle!

I’ve always wanted to knit a hood, but was nervous about attempting it. None of the tutorials I found seemed easy enough. So I just did a little bit of winging it and it actually turned out! Couldn’t have been more pleased with the results.
